Some activities at the Resort are swimming, a swing set, small sandy beach, sunbathing, water skiing, photography, berry picking (seasonal), wildlife watching, picnicking, hiking and bike trails close by, boating, relaxing and excellent fishing while staying at Shagawa Inn Resort.

Ely has wonderful stores and gift shops. A 9 hole golf course, bowling alley, tennis courts, and many great restaurants. The Vermillion Interpretive History Center, Voyageur Visitor Center, the International Wolf Center (with live wolf pack), Underground Iron Mine Tour at Tower-Sudan State Park, and with a 30 mile drive, Fortune Bay Casino and many other special events throughout the season. Take a walk on the Trezona Trail a beautiful and scenic area around the resort.
